WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

The YouthBuild Success Coach duties include:

  • Ensuring accurate participant enrollment in the Management Information System (MIS), file creation, and individual case management for each participant.
  • Ensure the federal/state performance outcomes are met through accurate data entry, collection and reporting into various information systems.
  • Mentor youth by providing assessments, job leads, advice, direction, structure, and support.
  • Assist in removal of participant barriers to success. Identify, document, and process supportive services following protocol.
  • Work closely with post-secondary education to outreach and enroll older youth into demand occupations, assisting with job placement services upon training completion.
  • Coordinate and participate in career fairs, college visits, and employment location tours; provides career consulting services and other youth career development projects.
    • Provide information and refers individuals to public or private agencies and/or community services for assistance.
  • Support the YouthBuild team with recruitment during the planning, executing, and closing phases.

  • Ensure the full integration of the YouthBuild Team within the larger Kinexus Team to reduce duplication of effort, streamline services, and maximize all resources in support of the right service at the right time

  • Accountability to align with the mission, vision and values of Kinexus

MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • GED/HSD
  • Strong interpersonal skills. This person must be able to work with external organizations and agencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, including educating a variety of constituencies and interested parties about YouthBuild programing.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of basic computer applications such as word processing.
  • Ability to proficiently use technology as a management reporting tool
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Must always be able to provide discretion
  • Experience working with at-risk youth population
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships with at-risk-youth

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and/or experience
  • Experience in social work and/or nonprofit work environment
