Youth Residential Staff

PURPOSE: To provide oversight of all activities at PROMISE House during designated alert shift. Enforce policy at PROMISE House.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB DUTIES: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability to perform the following duties.

• Assess and provide for the immediate needs of new admissions to PROMISE House.

• Assist with the implementation of youth goals as outlined by ISP and instructed by the case manager.
• Familiarizing youth with the rules and surroundings of the facility.
• Maintaining the general upkeep of the facility through the enforcement of house rules.
• Assisting with the upkeep of the building by completing assigned cleaning.
• Assisting with and managing emergency situations that may arise.
• Recording unusual incidents on required forms.
• Reporting to the Program Supervisor any problems or concerns that may arise while in the facility.
• To become familiar with security and other fire safety procedures.
• Transportation of youth according to PROMISE House policy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

• High School Education or G.E.D.
• Orientation and 40 hours of training annually as required by OCYF
• Act 33, 34 Clearances

Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule.

MANDATORY CLEARANCES: FBI Clearance, Act 33/34 Clearances, Driver’s License in good standing. Clean physical and ability to pass a drug test. (If you have clearances from within the last 11 months, you can start work almost immediately)

WORKING CONDITIONS: Position involves possible exposure to the following harmful elements.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
