Shift Differential: Mon - Thurs $2.00; Fri - Sun $3.00 in addition to base pay.

Meridell is a nationally recognized 134-bed private residential treatment facility located in Liberty Hill, Texas, that specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who have emotional, behavioral and neurobehavioral problems. (UHS), one of the nation's largest and most respected health care management companies, that operates through acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities and ambulatory centers nationwide.

Provides direct care and supervision for assigned patients, and is involved in all aspects of the patient’s care, from getting up in the morning to getting ready for bed at night and continual monitoring while the patient sleeps.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Assuring patients are safe, are aware of basic rules and expectation, and provide guidance with self-help skills required for everyday life
• Acting as a role model for patients, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision-making skills
• Assisting with recreational and therapeutic activities
• Transporting patients to and from medical appointments
• Assuring that patients participate in scheduled treatment programming
• Providing assistance in school
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years or older to apply

Salary Range: $16.50 - $19.00

Shift Differential: Mon - Thurs $2.00; Fri - Sun $3.00 in addition to base pay.

Education: High School graduate or equivalent required; some college is preferred

Experience: None required, but one or more years of experience working with children or adolescents is a plus

License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License required; must also have a good driving record for transports with patients

Skills: Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work under stress. Must exhibit professional conduct, honor boundaries, be able to set limits and maintain patient confidentiality. Must be dependable, compassionate, creative, and willing to learn.
