Summary:
The Worship and Creative Director will be responsible for developing and leading the worship experience of The Collective Church. He or she will serve as the primary worship leader and will lead the worship team to create a Biblically sound, Spirit led worship experience. In addition, he or she will direct the creative work of the church including creation of all digital and printed material and video content for
The Collective Church. He or she will have oversight of the church’s website, app, and all social media platforms to ensure that all information is being conveyed in a timely manner, appropriate marketing is being done, and that all material is in line with The Collective’s brand.
Primary Focus: Oversee all aspects of the Sunday worship experience including leading the music, sound, and visual teams to create an environment which facilitates Spirit led worship. Lead all creative design for the church and ensure consistency across all printed and digital platforms. Collaborate with all staff and ministry directors. Have high attention to detail and be able to communicate clearly and effectively through printed, digital, and video mediums. Promote The Collective Church in ways that align with our mission and vision.
Primary 5 Job Functions:
Serve as primary worship leader for worship services
- Lead congregation in Spirit filled, Biblically sound worship
- Oversee flow of worship services
- Create slides for worship worship services including creating announcement slides, worship lyrics, sermon notes, and all other special slides or video
Coordinate & schedule all volunteer worship team members, sound, and visual teams.
- Have direct oversight of the Production Director
- Create a regular rotation of worship team band members, utilizing different people’s strengths and desires to serve
- Organize and lead regular practice sessions
- Recruit and train new volunteers for areas of oversight
- Shepherd those who serve in worship teams
Oversight of website, app, & all social media platforms
- Keep website and app up to date with most current information
- Ensure website is attractive, easy to navigate, and in line with The Collective brand
- Utilize digital platforms to further the mission, vision, and reach of The Collective Church
- Create content to regularly post on social media
- Work with staff to create material that promotes all ministry areas of the church
- Post announcements and communication on social media platforms
- Respond to comments and interact with people in a timely manner representing the message and heart of The Collective Church
Oversee creative arts and design
- Oversee the implementation of a cohesive brand for The Collective Church
- Work with staff to ensure that all printed and digital material are in line with The Collective’s brand
- Create marketing and promotional materials
- Look for innovative ways to create marketing materials for The Collective
Video production
- Record and edit weekly Sunday service videos and upload to all viewing platforms in a timely manner
- Oversee the live streaming of Sunday services
- Create promotional videos for The Collective
- Create videos as needed for staff members
- Maintenance of all AV equipment
Additional Job Functions:
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, monthly staff equipping, and periodic staff retreats
- Collaborate with all staff to ensure that each area of ministry has design and marketing needs met
Qualifications: The Worship and Creative Director must meet the following qualifications:
- Spiritual
- A Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Have a theological position that is exegetically informed.
- Believe the Bible to be God-breathed and the foundational truth.
- Demonstrate a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Spend regular time in personal Bible study and prayer
- Display a passion to know, trust, and follow God
- Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in his life and ministry
- Be willing to equip others to use their spiritual gifts
- Live an exemplary life based on clear biblical principles
- Know and understand the mission, values and distinctive at The Collective
- Support and commit to TCC’s Articles and bylaws
- Professional
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have strong administrative skills and great attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-ministerial staff environment.
- Must have experience leading worship in a congregational setting.
- Have the musical abilities needed to lead a worship band.
- Must have experience designing websites, printed, digital, and video materials.
- Must have experience creating video and digital content.
- Able to work independently and have good time management.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by the Pastoral Team and reviewed by the Council and
Leadership team annually.
Status: This is a Full-Time position.
- Hours: Hours may be flexible as you are being hired to complete all responsibilities stated above as well as other necessary responsibilities that may need your support.
