WordPress PHP Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

The WordPress PHP Developer is responsible for building quality functionality and integrations for Mintun Media’s clients. This individual plays a crucial role in bringing our clients’ visions to life. This is a non-customer facing role. This individual interfaces directly with the Product Owner and is on a highly collaborative team of front end and back end developers. The ideal candidate should be an A-team player with an exceptionally high belief to exceed goals and write exceptional code.

Ultimately, a successful WordPress PHP Developer will build what the client is looking for while also having the foresight to build a solid foundation for growth as well as finding opportunities to take our clients’ businesses to the next level through automation and creative integration efforts.

OBJECTIVES

• Brainstorm project flow based on project scope and document the intended build journey

• Write efficient and well written code to accomplish the needs of the project

• Work collaboratively with other developers, to get aligned and build functionality on a deadline efficiently

• Work with 30+ client projects from various industries with different development needs and tech stacks

• Work directly with the Product Owner to help facilitate project timelines and deliverables

• Create and maintain codebase documentation

• Fully test all functionality built in a local or staging environment

• Leverage G-Suite Programs, ClickUp, Harvest and other technology to accomplish development tasks, with a strong willingness to learn new software and workflows if needed

• Follow applicable processes and procedures as well as write and maintain processes for their own responsibilities

COMPETENCIES

• Superior development skills in PHP, Wordpress Plugins, WordPress Themes, Javascript and Javascript Libraries, HTML, and CSS

• Version Control experience using Github and SVN

• Excellence in organization, planning, problem solving, and effective management of resources

• Ability to collaborate with other team members while working under pressure

• Immense desire to troubleshoot, debug, and ensure the codebase is running as efficiently as possible

• Desire for continuous improvement and eagerness for learning new skills (often self-taught)

• Self-starter who is working independently and with minimal supervision

• Experience juggling multiple projects, ensuring efficient completion within deadlines and sharp attention to detail

• Ability to maintain pose, professionalism, and positivity at all times

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of PHP experience as a backend developer

• 5+ years of WordPress experience

• 2+ years of agency experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
