Job Description

Our cyber security testing team is seeking a Wireless Security Engineer. The role will help strengthen vehicle security by conducting and overseeing various technical security assessment activities.

Wireless Security Engineer should have a complete understanding of end-to-end system and security testing methodologies focused on wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular network. The successful candidate will be a highly technical, passionate, and self-driven individual who loves to learn, solve problems, and contribute to the advancement to the team.

*Summary: *
This position’s responsibility includes:

  • Research Fuzz Testing tools and conduct penetration test against connected vehicle modules via communication interfaces such as USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular and others
  • Conduct threat analysis against the device under test with focused on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular network entry points.
  • Operate the network simulator to perform cellular network related penetration testing.
  • Perform remediation testing of security vulnerabilities been fixed and evidence the results.
  • Development and maintain penetration testing tools and program code.
  • Perform research activities to investigate vulnerabilities and technologies that may affect the vehicle cybersecurity.

*Qualification: *

  • 5+ year experience of wireless security technologies on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular network
  • Proven wireless penetration testing experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular network
  • Shell scripting or automation of simple tasks using Perl, Python
  • Developing, extending, or modifying exploits, shellcode or exploit tools
  • Source code review for control flow and security flaws
  • Experience of various security testing (negative testing, binary fault injection, fuzz testing etc.)
  • Experience of Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems, including scripts.
  • Understanding of reverse engineering malware, data obfuscators, or ciphers
  • Understanding of design/develop security framework of mobile/web app.
  • Embedded systems development experience
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Experience with cellular network simulators (e.g. Keysight, Anritsu)
