Job Title: Wing Line Utility Division: Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI)
F*LSA: Non-Exempt Salary Grade: * 1
Job Status: Full Time* Travel Required: *0 - 10%
Revision Date: July 23, 2021* Reports To: Plant Manager*

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Weld oval onto pulley wings and install gussets into pulleys according to instructions on technical standards or customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the person will:

  • Shear oval or flat bar per schedule.
  • Weld bar onto wings using tech standards for weld sizes.
  • Install and weld gussets together with a uniform looking weld.
  • Operate the shear to trim gussets, as necessary.
  • Knowledge of operating the shear to trim gussets, if necessary.
  • Assemble Idlers per specification
  • Report any inventory quantity discrepancies to Manager.
  • Properly handle material to avoid damage to material and/or self.
  • Communicate positively with supervisors, fellow workers, and other internal customers.
  • Demonstrate regular, consistent attendance.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job.

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED);
  • or one to three months related experience and/or training;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES

  • Welding Certificate, preferred but not required.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee:

  • Must be able to frequently stoop/bend.
  • Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds of equipment with a hoist and forklift available.
  • Must be able to repetitively use right and left foot to control, repetitively use right and left hand for firm/heavy grasping, and repetitively use right/left hand for fine dexterity.
  • Must be able to regularly use hand to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
The noise level in the work environment is usually LOUD.
Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection when necessary, protective gloves and welding equipment on occasion, and wearing a seatbelt is required operating a motorized vehicle
