We are looking for a Wellness Programs Manager to join our HR team in the Human Resources Department. In managing the City"s wellness programs, you will work closely with the HR Director and Assistant CFO to establish goals and measures of success metrics for the City"s wellness programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
Provide wellness coaching to City of Charleston employees through assessment, education, and support on topics including, but not limited to: diabetes, nutrition, heart health, stress management, mental health, tobacco cessation and fitness.
Make improvements and enhancements to wellness programs based on data and experience.
Work with employees to identify and set personalized health improvement goals and support employees in achieving those goals through routine health screenings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City"s needs.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
Bachelor"s degree in Nursing or other health/wellness related field.
Six years of related experience and/or training.
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
Valid state issued driver"s license.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word or similar software.
Preferred qualifications
Demonstrated experience in health and wellness coaching.
