Welder

Overview: The Welder position is responsible for producing MIG and Stick welds according to layouts, and blueprints. The welder will also be a helper to Senior Welders with cutting, grinding and tacking etc. Position will adhere to safety, quality and procedures in accordance with departmental and corporate goals. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with minimum 2 years welding experience.

Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• MIG and Stick welding
• Read and follow Blueprints
• Accurate Measurements and Cutting of Metals
• Grinding
• Complete required tasks in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by Dept Manager and Senior Welders
• Follow all safety policies and department guidelines
• Self moviated and task oriented
• Drive forklift to move material around

Qualifications:REQUIRED:

• Must have 2 years prior experience as a Structural welder.
• Pass plate weld test using Stick.
• Able to read Blueprints.
• Experience with Hand Tools: manual, power driven, and pneumatic hand tools, Power saw, cutoff wheel, grinders and acetylene cutting equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, Ability to bend, squat, sit, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
• Valid Drivers License and Good Driving Record.
• This position will be required to travel based on projects.
• Must have good driving record.
