A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Weber Online for an online Medical Anatomy & Physiology (CTE) teacher. This position is a twelve-month stipend position. Under the direction of the school principal, the teacher is responsible for the education of assigned students and will maintain a flexible online program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth based on the Utah Core Standards, Board of Education adopted guidelines, and Weber Online digital criteria. The teacher will establish effective rapport with students; motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes, and the knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education, and do so in accordance with each student's ability.
Qualifications:
Teaches subject matter, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education, correlated with other appropriate learning activities.- Develops lesson plans, adapts curriculum to meet individual student needs, and utilizes effective teaching techniques in translating lesson plans into productive student learning experiences which best utilize the time available for instruction.
- Utilizes Canvas to deliver a 100% online MAGNET and FLEX courses designed according to the Weber Online checklist and policies.
- Controls the storage and use of district owned property; makes minor adjustments and requests repairs as required.
- Maintains online classroom organization and discipline during live class sessions.
- Establishes and maintains Standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
- Provides and maintains a safe and supervised environment in the online classroom.
- Devises and utilizes techniques which accurately measure students' progress.
- Evaluates student's academic and personal growth keeping appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
- Communicates with parents through conferences and other means discussing academic and personal progress; interpret school programs.
- Communicates and cooperates with other professional staff in academic and personal growth areas.
- Demonstrates professional ethics as outlined by the Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission.
- Conforms to district policies including attendance, absences and evaluations.
- Attendance is adequate to acceptably perform listed job functions including teaching synchronously for 30 minutes each week, responding to students within 24 on school days, and attending faculty meetings.

- Valid Utah Secondary Teaching License and content area endorsement
