BancorpSouth is looking for a full stack web developer knowledgeable in .NET technologies, basic web development skills, and relational databases. The candidate will work as a member of a team dedicated to supporting all aspects of the ARGO Lending web application. They will work directly with business units to determine project requirements, develop solutions, and correct defects. As this position is open to remote work, the candidate must be very comfortable working independently and via video conferencing. The ideal candidate will have some prior knowledge of loan processing, but it is not required. Individuals will be required to complete an ARGO developer certification program within one year if not already certified. Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions

Work Hours: As scheduled including after-hours and on weekends.

Primary Purpose:

To support the lending operations of the organization by developing and maintaining the ARGO Lending platform. This system facilitates the full loan application workflow from origination to booking, and the responsibilities include all parts/pieces thereof such as business rules management (CBRM), the decision engine (ADE), reporting, and various third-party integrations including dynamic forms generation via WKFS Expere.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain lending solutions using Microsoft and ARGO technologies

  • Work with vendor support, where applicable, to resolve defects and implement upgrades

  • Work with business units and project stakeholders to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives, various business initiatives, etc. within the applications

  • Support various internally developed web and database applications

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting, extracts, queries, etc. as needed


Job Specifications:

Required:

  • BS/BA/MS or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related area or equivalent experience

  • Experience with C# and the ASP.NET framework or similar languages

  • Experience with T-SQL and MS SQL databases or similar

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design

  • Strong understanding of secure coding concepts

  • Proficient with distributed version control systems such as git

  • Must work well in a remote work environment, as a member of a team, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to multitask well and be very detail oriented

  • ARGO Browser Developer certification required within 1 year


Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of loan origination processing

  • Experience with agile development methodologies

  • Experience writing unit tests and solid understanding of dependency injection concepts

  • Experience with SOAP and REST based web services
