The Web Content Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving content for digital channels that will achieve our business goals. Duties include gathering and entering comprehensive product data into our ecommerce platform (Magento). Work closely with eCommerce, Systems, Merchandising, Creative and Marketing teams to ensure brand & content consistency and support product sales goals.
Product & Content Setup
Responsible for maintaining content and images for our ecommerce platform.
- Setup content within Magento
- Upload/update product images and copy across site each launch cycle and as needed
- Disable images across site based on discontinued product
- Optimize content according to SEO
Project Management
Assist with planning and implementation of Online Launch schedule each cycle.
- Proactively meet online schedule deadlines and advise on improvements
- Identify image and copy needs based on merchandising product launch information each cycle
- Assist with project coordination of virtual product rendering
Quality Assurance
Develop and execute systematic testing and proofreading protocols, to minimize errors and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Develop and document content processes and procedures
- Conduct and document site testing each time changes are made
- Verify, validate and approve content prior to deployment
- Test rendered image updates throughout site as needed
Identify and document issues with rendered room scene images in configurator
Essential skills and abilities include the following:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong multi-task & organization skills
- Detail oriented with attention to accuracy
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Knowledge of custom window treatments preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience with MS Office Program
- Use of databases, computer systems and web sites
- Strong Smith & Noble product knowledge experience preferred
- Familiarity with custom window treatments is a plus
