Job Summary

Immediate opening for a full-time, experienced technician with an established, locally-owned, expanding disaster recovery company which operates in a team environment throughout NE Ohio.

The DR Technician responsibilities and duties include :

  • Work in team environment within a stable and expanding locally-owned company
  • Work directly with customers in their home or place of business
  • Document work performed and follow client-driven guidelines through a program-based IPad and/or smart phone app
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures, especially as they apply to achieving successful target objectives and scores with insurance carriers and clients
  • Perform mitigation and cleaning of properties damaged by water, fire, smoke, storm or otherwise affected
  • Perform remediation of mold and other environmental issues
  • Perform carpet and floor care cleaning, as well as other building maintenance tasks
  • Routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, vehicles, and facility
  • Other duties as assigned

The DR Technician candidate will display the following :

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test
  • IICRC certified
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to solve problems and work under pressure in compromised working conditions
  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks
  • Ability to work in situations with minimal supervision
  • Possess a full range of body motions and be able to lift 50 pounds to perform regular duties
  • Ability to handle disinfectants and cleaning agents
  • Ability to learn the operation of and handle industry-related tools equipment
  • Ability to use hand tools regularly used in carpentry and demolition
  • Ability to be available after hours and weekends for emergencies and some scheduled work
  • Possess a smart phone to perform work-related tasks on apps
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
  • Ability to work from a lift and/or lift certification a plus but not required
  • 3 - 5 years Construction and/or disaster recovery experience a must.
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Starting rate based on experience
