Job Description

The warehouse/logistics manager is responsible for all shipping, receiving and picking operations and personnel. Key accountabilities are accuracy and efficiency.

Description-

Strategically manages warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs along with personnel policies and procedures

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

Ensures all personnel is working in a safe manner and complies with all safety regulations

Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts: reconciling with data storage system and ensures product traceability.

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repairs and/or replacement

Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees duty’s; following up on work results

Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching and counseling while monitoring and appraising job results

Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed

Enhance warehouse set up/layout to ensure efficient space utilization

Liaises with clients, suppliers and transport companies

Ability to work in a cold environment

All other task as assigned

Qualifications:

Proven work experience as a warehouse/logistics manager

Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

Strong knowledge of warehousing KPI’s

Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

Leadership skills and ability to manage staff

Strong decision making and problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Demonstrate leadership experience with a high-functioning, fast-paced team

Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining a high-priority to the safety of our workforce

Education/Training:

High school diploma/Some college preferred

Good knowledge of Microsoft word/excel

Related Experience/Requirements:

Minimum 5- 10 yrs experience in food production or food warehouse environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs. must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed.

Work in a cold refrigerated environment

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
