Warehouse/General Labor/Production Worker

Job Description:

• Assembles mail-back and other product kits according to established procedures.
• Picks kits and stock items from the printed pick lists to fulfill customer orders.
• Packs orders for shipment to ensure efficient use of materials and safety of items in transit.
• Unloads inspects and reports the status of inbound inventory receipts.
• Uses computer systems to execute outbound order shipments.
• Stocks pick and rack locations to meet projected demand requirements.
• Works toward achieving maximum efficiencies in an established work environment while maintaining safety & compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
• Performs physical inventory counts.
• Provides feedback to management on ways to increase efficiencies and the effectiveness of servicing customer needs.
• Participates in process improvement activities (LEAN).
• Performs necessary record-keeping activities.
• Performs other related duties as required or requested.

Education and Experience Required:

• Education equivalent to graduation from high school, demonstrating the ability to understand and follow established safety measures.
• Three or more months of plant/warehouse experience required, or the equivalent in related work experience.
• Demonstrates the ability to operate equipment (fork trucks/forklifts) and technical ability to operate a hand cart/2-wheel dolly and pallet jack.
• Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications, including OMS and shipping software.
• Demonstrates the ability to observe safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines;
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
