Position Summary
Reporting to Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of all warehouse activities including but not limited to inventory control, shipping, staff scheduling, time keeping, quality assurance and safety needs. In addition, the supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager with weekly and monthly planning efforts.
The ideal candidate for this position will work effectively supervising and leading a team. They should be approachable and engaging. Ability to handle multiple competing demands while ensuring deadlines are met will be required for success in this position.
Position Responsibilities
- Schedule daily activities and team members required to pick and pack customer orders.
- Supervise warehouse team members in daily order fulfillment processes, both physical and system requirements.
- Supervise inventory tracking to ensure inventory meets all standard requirements per customer and quality specifications.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by warehouse team members.
- Recommend and implement alternate approaches and solutions to improve order fulfillment process.
- Maintain a culture based on open and honest dialogue and involvement of all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding occupational health, food safety, and environmental compliance. Advise management on related/ impacted actions needed.
- Ensure warehouse operation through coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Perform disciplinary action as needed.
- Contribute to team projects to accomplish successful results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Two (2) years Production, Logistics, or Inventory Management experience is required. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree only require one (1) year of previous production, logistics or inventory management experience. Experience in a manufacturing and/or Food Safety environment is preferred.
- Must have a high level of competency with manufacturing/inventory systems and advanced skills in spreadsheets and database experience is required.
- Ability to work with a positive attitude in a high stress environment is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Forklift Certification is required. Candidates without current Forklift Certification will be required to attain it within three (3) months of starting the position.
