Job Description
Overview: As a Materials Handler/Warehouse Worker at Connexus Energy you will perform a variety of detail-oriented warehousing duties, ensuring the proper storage, handling and inventory of materials and equipment to support our electrical distribution system. Connexus Energy is looking for a Material Handler/Warehouse Worker candidate who has a positive attitude and is detail-oriented, self-motivated, possess problem solving skills and computer experience. Wage Range: $21.23 - 27.12.

  • Receive inventory and store material in a timely and orderly manner.
  • Identify material requirements from various reporting methods and pick material for Connexus or contractor crews.
  • Operate a truck to run errands, deliver materials, and documentation to crews.
  • Process salvaged or returned material back into inventory.
  • Perform inventory cycle counting on a scheduled basis to ensure the accuracy of the inventory and problem solve through inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safe working conditions in the work area at all times.
  • Ship material to third parties following documented processes, procedures and regulations.
  • Operate forklift for the movement of material within warehouse or yard.
Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
  • High school or General Equivalency Diploma
  • 1+ years experience working in a warehouse
  • Current and valid driver’s license, with a valid health card or the ability to obtain one
  • Computer navigation and query capabilities in inventory and purchasing modules in materials management system
  • Physical requirements include:
    • Ability to stand, sit, walk and bend, reach and climb.
    • Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
    • Ability to lift (floor to waist) up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to lift (waist to eye level) up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to carry 75 lbs. with two hands
Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
  • 2-4 years of Material Repair & Operations warehouse experience
  • Basic knowledge of line construction
  • Forklift certification
  • Previous experience with an ERP system
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
