What work looks like:
Our office located at 4144 West Sunset Rd, Las Vegas Nevada 89118, is open from 7:00 am to 4:30 5:00 pm. We built the building about 3 years ago and it was designed to be a comfortable place to work efficiently while we continue to grow. With 12 locations in 3 states there will be a lot of distance communication and a little bit of travel. The owners Frank and Michelle have offices near yours and their door is always open. You will be involved in many meetings with senior management, and often tapped for assistance with team growth and difficult conversations. Warehouse Manager
A leader, who can orchestrate a fast paced, high-volume, ever-changing environment, to ensure that we exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery and accuracy. The Warehouse Manager plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
Team Management
- Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner. Interviews and hires applicants for warehouse and receiving staff
- Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of warehouse and receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.
- Holds warehouse staff accountable for department and self-set goals. Performs formal periodic staff reviews. Provides routine informal feedback to manage employee performance. Takes corrective action as necessary and rewards employees when appropriate. Regularly holds individual performance discussions (i.e. One-On-Ones ) with direct reports.
Warehouse Management
- Supervise and schedule maintenance of company delivery vehicles; maintain a preventive maintenance program.
- Ensure that merchandise is received accurately and stored in an efficient and economical manner and maintain required records per company policies.
- Supervise the proper routing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment and delivery in accordance with customer instructions.
- Manage the delivery routes for drivers with the responsibility of planning efficient and cost-effective scheduling and routing of trucks, locally, and out of town.
- Supervise the proper handling of inter-company transfers of inventory.
- Proficiently use, and train staff, on required technologies. Including RF Scanner guns, shipping programs, warehouse equipment, and office software.
- Direct the safe operation of all warehouse equipment. Verify that forklift/truck operators are within regulatory compliance.
- Set up and maintain all driver files for DOT.
- Performs vehicle safety checks before driving and ensures all warehouse staff do the same. Inspecting truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind.
- May drive delivery truck or van to transport items to other stores or customer locations. Maintains driver s license and clean driving record.
- Ensures all warehouse staff adheres to all safety procedures including defensive driving techniques, when making deliveries.
- Ensures all warehouse staff operate Company vehicles in a safe manner following all traffic laws and regulations. Reports any accidents or injuries to Asset Manager and Operations Manager immediately.
- Maintain communication with drivers during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received. Ensuring delivery conditions are documented by warehouse drivers.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and make recommendations for new purchases of equipment as needed.
- Schedule repairs and maintenance of trucks and/ or other company equipment used in the Warehouse.
- Plan, schedule, and perform all inventory activities, including cycle counting, inventory transactions, auditing, and reporting.
- Maintain the security of the warehouse and grounds to reduce shrinkage.
- Use excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal positively with senior management, accounts payable, sales staff, employees, vendors, and customers.
- Ensures compliance in the warehouse with all company employment policies, and applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Maintains a safe working environment by communicating safety rules; observing and coaching employees in complying with safety rules; removing safety obstacles; complying with all governmental regulations including OSHA, Worker s Compensation, Fire, and MSDS; and ensuring all equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner including the training and certifications of employees designated to operate equipment.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma / GED required OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Clean driving record. Will need to provide a copy of MVR
- Pass a drug screen and background check
- Minimum of 5 years experience in store management/operations in a warehouse environment.
Preferred:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in business management, industrial management or related field; 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Direct experience in HVACR or similar industry
- Experience in warehouse operations in a wholesale environment
- Experience with computer or barcode driven inventory management systems
