Summary:
This position will Lead the Material Handlers in the execution of assigned distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned / damaged goods, special projects, maintenance and administrative activities. In addition will work with the team Supervisor to define daily work requirements. Oversee job assignments and labor scheduled and will focus on continuous improvement and make recommendations to improve operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Labor Management: Provide direct daily direction to Material Handlers to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse. Contribute to the work plan and implement inbound and outbound schedules and assignments. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, coaching and disciplining employees.
- Equipment / Safety: Ensure that equipment and safety procedures are followed by Material Handlers
- Communication: Interact with other departmental management to achieve goals. When requested, attend warehouse planning meetings. Be pro-active alerting personnel to possible issues and implement corrective actions.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock locator system. Ensure proper stock rotation. Assist in conducting physical inventories.
- Information Technology: Utilize the WMS tools to manage distribution transactions and to monitor performance. Contribute improvement options and provide information as requested for system enhancements.
- Security: Provide necessary guidance of facility security, its environs, employees and contents.
- Financial Management: Manage assigned costs, achieve cost goals and report on the progress to those goals.

- Ability to interact with customers, sales and customer service.
- Knowledge of LTL, UPS and other forms of transportation, with automation preferred.
- Strong leadership, presentation, analytical, communication and customer service skills.

- Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- 2 - 5+ years management experience within warehousing / distribution and fleet management.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 60-pound weight or more.
