Assist department supervisor with associate interaction, organizational learning, and organizational performance.

Review daily schedule and discuss with Supervisor plans and priorities for the daily work schedule

Provide timely and accurate updates to the Supervisor and Wave Planners regarding work status in your area.

Assign and lead associates on the tasks required and resolve work issues to ensure the Distribution Center meets the customer order delivery commitment.

Update reports and boards on an on-going basis.

Assist supervisors in conducting daily safety check of forklift trucks, restraining systems for tractor-trailer trucks and of conveyor equipment.

Adhere to and lead in example of company policies and to safety and health requirements in the warehouse area.

Assist with cross training of department.

In absence of supervisor, lead start-of-shift huddle meeting to discuss any issues from the previous day, workload for the current day, assigned duties, special announcements, and lead in exercises.

Assist and perform housekeeping responsibilities for the work area.

Answer and enter emails to ensure proper communication between departments within and outside of the Distribution Center.

Requires very good oral and written communication skill.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 3 years (Preferred)
• Warehouse supervisor experience: 1 year (Required)
