Warehouse Lead

Ahold eCommerce Sales Company (AES) is a distribution facility based in Jersey City which supplies product for an expanded Peapod by Stop & Shop fulfillment operation in the NY Metro market. We are in search of a 1st Shift Lead that is detail-oriented and has a strong sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will be excited by the challenge of being in a high growth environment that is going through rapid evolution as the entire landscape of the internet business continues to change.

• Supporting team in an effort to keep the entire operation balanced throughout the shift.
• Ensures that processes are common and consistent on the same shift and across other shifts
• Diagnoses and reacts to system and responds appropriately.
• Communicates the circumstances to the Flow Desk; engages with others as necessary to bring the issues to quick resolution.
• Provide coaching to other team members to improve their productivity, accuracy and safety.
• Creates and maintains a positive, team oriented environment via daily working relationships across all levels within the shift.
• Aggressively promotes a safe and sanitary work environment in all areas
• Assists in associate training as time permits. Provides feedback to others in a constructive manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 1+ years warehouse experience.
• A strong level of leadership potential demonstrated.
• Strong communications skills, able to engage with others.
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work within tight deadlines a must.
• Adaptable to change and able to think quickly and make decisions on the fly a must.
• Familiarity with assembly line / manufacturing principles a plus
• Good listening skills a must.
