Warehouse Janitor/Forklift Operator - PART-TIME

We're looking for a flexible team member who will be focused on the cleanliness and safety of our warehouse facility. This part-time position will be split between general janitorial duties and warehouse work.

Generally responsible for the cleaning of all areas within facility. These areas include offices, conference rooms, lobby, production floor, and other public areas such as restrooms and inside/outside break areas.

Also responsible for retrieving, moving, and stacking merchandise. Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, and stages product using material handling equipment including forklifts.

• Remove trash, clean and sanitize restrooms daily, including stocking bathroom with adequate paper goods and soap, or other needed supplies.
• Dust, vacuum, and mop lobby area daily.
• Clean, dust, vacuum/mop and remove trash from conference room, breakroom, and office areas as scheduled.
• Clean and remove trash from outside break areas and entrances daily. (includes emptying cigarette urns).
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Clean accessible interior and exterior windows as needed.
• Display safe work practices and follow all policies and procedures.
• Post caution signs (e.g., wet floor signs) to limit traffic when necessary.
• Maintain clean work environment for employees.
• Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary to avoid injury.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow all compliance programs (e.g., safety, fire, hazardous materials etc.).
• Clean and maintain property and premises, ensuring all cleanliness standards are met.
• Maintain clean and clutter-free work space, including public areas.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs (team lifting required for anything over 50 lbs).
• Ability to adapt to change in the workplace and shift priorities easily.

• Minimum 6 months experience in similar position
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within warehouse industry
• Basic ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English
• Minimum experience operating equipment used for cleaning (e.g. buffer, vacuum, etc.)
• Forklift certified
• Candidates will be required to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
