Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
Primary responsibility of the Warehouse Assistant is to load and unload merchandise from trucks and move material within the warehouse by carrying or lifting, as well as operating forklifts or other material handling equipment, in an organized and safe process.The WA also assists in managing timely completion of services, orders parts for job completion, calls customers to set up installation and service appointments and ensures jobs are staged and pulled prior to installation.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
50% - Loads and unloads product and moves material within the warehouse
25% - Ensures site and warehouse safety standards and compliance, cleanliness and organization
25% - Assists with completion of open services in a timely manner
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to HDI Installation Manager.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 year
Physical Requirements:
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Preferred Qualifications:
Home improvement or remodeling experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Strong Customer Service Skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Knowledge of safety requirements
Ability to organize and manage time effectively
