Job Description:

The purpose of this job is to accurately and safely receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the company warehouse as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for customer pickup and delivery, in order to increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Pull customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department. Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Complete internal forms and documents as instructed.
  • Perform stock transfers and inventory counts.
  • Responsible for the proper care and maintenance of company equipment. Ensure the protection of company property and all other assets.
  • Ensure warehouse areas are clean, accessible, and safe for traffic.
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Process UPS orders/shipments
  • Other duties as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/move and carry up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely mount and dismount from the back of a truck.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools such as a wench.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace. Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
  • Must have the ability to operate a forklift after being certified.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
