JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse associate who is willing to learn and be an addition to our existing team. As a Warehouse Associate you would be reporting to the General Manager on-site. Your core responsibilities would include: loading, unloading trucks; operating forklifts, handle products from such as picking items from clients, inventory management, distribution and returns and ensuring quality control.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:
- Operate process control of equipment and handle manual activities that are required to monitor and control the movement of product
- Ensure that the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are met and sanitation practices are always followed
- Operate, drive forklifts; load and unload trucks; load and unload electronics on and off of palettes and shelving
- Clean production line and process work area or other parts of facility to maintain work conditions
- Assist the truck drivers with the loading and unloading of goods
- Store items in an orderly manner in the warehouse (it is accessible)
- Dispose of damaged or defective items and e-waste
- Keep records of the inventory to make sure that shipments, shortages and orders are issued on time (verifying inventory computation)
- Communicating with subordinates, supervisors via e-mail, in person to get tasks done
- Clean, display cases, shelves and aisles and other parts of the facility in order to have a clean environment and maintain sanitary conditions
- Help in carrying and moving goods/palettes to the vehicles
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education:
- A high school diploma/GED or an equivalent required
Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Skills:
- Basic computer skills required and knowledge of Google Suite preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, lift and carry goods worth 75 pounds or more
- A self-directed worker
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to work independently and even as a part of a team
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates
- Knowledge of inventory procedures, departmental policies and procedures
- Knowledge on working with forklifts, shipping and storing of goods
- Highly motivated
Work Context:
Includes indoors and outdoors; in an office and warehouse setting environment where noise level and temperature may vary; will also be required to work in teams and answer e-mail and the telephone with long periods of sitting and screen time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position may include stand, bend, twist, lift and carry goods worth 50 pounds or more. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and hazards.
