Warehouse Assistant

Hagopian is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join their team in Oak Park, MI. This position requires the highest level of professionalism, problem solving and communication skills for this critical role. The employee will be trained to perform a multitude of warehouse duties including how to operate a forklift, and how to use the EZ-Cut carpet machine. A good driving record is a must. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, with an hour break for lunch.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT.

• Showroom deliveries.
• Unloading and loading of shipments.
• Processing and inspecting shipments of rugs, hard surface flooring, and broadloom carpet.
• Checking in shipments on purchase orders.
• Taking physical inventory of product.
• Making cuts for carpet installation, and assisting installers that are picking up material.
• Helping the retail repair department with area rug fabrications.
• Maintaining and organizing the warehouse space.
