Waiver Care Aide – NO Experience Required! Start at $12 per Hour,
Become a CNA $15.75 Per Hour!
MediLodge of Farmington is skilled nursing and rehabilitation center conveniently located off I-696 and I-275 and is an integral part of the large MediLodge portfolio of 49 centers throughout Michigan, which makes us a leading healthcare provider.
We are looking for compassionate individuals such as you, to join the team at our long term care and rehabilitation center as a Waiver Care Aide! NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Medilodge of Farmington invests in our team for growth and development by offering you the opportunity to take Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) classes at NO cost to you! You will spend two weeks in classes (you will be paid for hours in class) that will help prepare you to take the state test and become certified.

Qualifications:Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.:
- Pass 8 hour online certification course
- Pass facility competency skills checklist:
- Perform tasks under the direct supervision of a nurse or independently if competency is validated
- Competency areas are
- Personal safety and Emergency Care
- Documentation and Core Nursing Skills
- Positioning, Moving and Restorative Care
- Nutrition and Elimination
- Advanced and Specialty Care Environments
- Comfort Care and End of Life
- Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
- Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
- Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed
- Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
- Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Reports to Charge Nurse or designee on progress/lack of progress in achieving restorative goals.:
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.:
