Job Description

Role Summary:


As Daon continues its rapid global growth and expansion into new markets, we are looking for a marketing leader who will be responsible for building, leading, and mentoring a global marketing team. As our VP of Marketing, he/she will report to both the President of the Americas and the President of EMEA & APAC.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Develop and own Daon’s global marketing strategy, execution and operating plan
  • Develop segment strategies, messaging and go-to-market plans
  • Build and manage a global marketing team
  • Positioning – develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market
  • Content – oversee the creation of a variety of content types, including collateral, white papers, presentations, etc.
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of our products to the sales team and develop tools that support the selling process
  • Create training materials for teams with regard to messaging, product capabilities, market landscape, and competitors
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound marketing and communications efforts
  • Manage demand generation and content marketing campaigns
  • Lead the development and execution of multi-channel acquisition and nurturing campaigns
  • Track, manage and report on key marketing effectiveness metrics
  • Manage external agencies and resources
  • Work closely with sales to improve lead gen evaluation and full-funnel metrics
  • Track competitor activities and develop highly competitive market strategies
  • Develop effective account-based marketing tactics alongside sales
  • Drive brand awareness, thought leadership, and education in the market

Qualifications/Skills & Experience:


  • Entrepreneurial spirit – ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization without much of a defined process or infrastructure
  • Track record of strategic marketing leadership success in high-growth technology and enterprise SaaS companies
  • 10-15+ years of progressive and global B2B marketing experience
  • Experience of managing and building high-performing teams
  • Proven track record of driving sales pipeline and accelerating revenue growth
  • Experience owning marketing programs across different channels, lifecycle stages, and for various audiences and buyer personas
  • Strategic yet hands-on, with an entrepreneurial builder mentality
  • Data-driven, analytical, and ROI-focused
  • Excellent leadership and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot
  • Solid technical knowledge foundation with the ability to translate technical content into business value for internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience creating content for demand generation campaigns, product introductions, and other promotional collateral and communications
