POSITION SUMMARY:
Work directly with the Division President in establishing a new Lennar Homebuilding Division in Boise, Idaho. The focus of the role will be overseeing the purchasing and contracting for vertical construction, developing relationships with construction trade partners, and assisting the Division President in all aspects of starting up a public homebuilding division in Boise. The role will ultimately include the supervision of construction, customer care and purchasing operations as defined by the division.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster relationships with trade partners and coordinate the contracting of all vertical trades for the construction of homes.
- Prepare and maintain construction schedules through end of warranty period.
- Prepare and maintain vertical construction budgets.
- Coordinate all construction activities.
- Maintain and monitor SWPPP.
- Monitor customer care items to meet company requirements.
- Provide accurate and concise feasibility budgets to all scheduled and requested feasibility projects.
- Maintain good work ethic and working relationship between division construction staff and municipalities as well as other builder organizations.
- Responsible for all construction activity both on-site and off-site.
- Responsible for achieving excellent scores in both customer satisfaction and buyer recommendation.
- Coordinates activities and contract of outside consultants; home-building.
- Responsible for quality control in construction and Zero Defects Policy.
- Coordinates compliance with conditions of plats and conditions of approval to achieve occupancy.
- Insures timely house closures as outlined in monthly closing meetings.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Seven (7) – ten (10) years of vertical and horizontal construction experience
- Minimum three (3) years local Boise market experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; Engineering education a plus
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Good analytical and writing skills
- Experience in public presentation
- Strong management and motivational skills
- Cost estimating and purchasing skills
- Valid, unrestricted motor vehicle license
- Interact well with co-workers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read Plans, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally operate construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
