VMWare Administrator

Full-Time Fort Belvoir, VA

Job Description:

The VMWare Administrator will generally perform administration duties for networking hardware including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, network bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls and other related network hardware, and must have firm grasp and knowledge of fiber and copper-based Ethernet technologies, capabilities and cabling and their connectivity to local and wide area networks. This position also requires experience as a VMWare Administrator as well as Storage and Backup experience.

Training and Certifications:

DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order. Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order.

Required Certifications:

IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification - Sec+CE or equivalent

Computing Env:

Veritas Certified Professional (VCP) - Administration of Veritas NetBackup, or

NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer, or

NetApp Certified Support Engineer, or

Veeam Certified Architect (VMCA), or

Dell EMC Expert - Implementation Engineer, or

HPE ASE - Storage Solutions Architect, or

HPE Master ASE - Storage Solutions Architect


Education and Experience:

  • HS/GED + 10 years
  • Associates Degree + 8 years
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 6 years
  • Master’s Degree + 4 years
  • PhD + 2 years
