The role
The Virtual Customer Representative (VCR) is the first point of contact for most of our customers and patients and therefore responsible for setting the tone for dntl bar’s customer experience process. The VCR is responsible for having the knowledge and empathy required to answer questions, educate potential customers and provide solutions to complex situations through basic problem solving and communication with internal and external customers. VCR's provide prompt, accurate, friendly and quality service while utilizing appropriate computer systems to document calls, make appointments and relay important information throughout the company.
The Virtual Customer Representative reports to the VP of Operations and works in person out of dntl bar HQ in Manhattan.
Schedule:
Week 1: Tuesday - Thursday 11AM - 7PM, Friday 6:30AM - 2:30PM
Weeks 2 & 4: Saturday 8:30AM - 5PM, Monday - Thursday 11AM -7PM
Week 3: Monday - Thursday 11AM - 7PM, Friday 6:30AM - 2:30PM
Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly.
Essential Functions:
- Answer phone calls, chats and emails in a prompt and polite manner
- Handle all guest inquiries and questions in a timely manner
- Forward calls and/or messages to the appropriate departments; ensure all information is provided in a timely and professional manner
- Answer patient questions and provide education regarding (but is not limited to): services, payment plans, appointments and general availability.
- Responsible for handling complex client service issues and concerns.
- Schedule appointments when requested; monitor cancellations and reschedules as needed
- Maintain outstanding customer service and hospitality to everyone
- Multi-task by adjusting from one type of call to another without loss of efficiency, composure, or knowledge
Job Requirements:
- A high school degree or GED
- 1-2 years of experience working in any high-volume/high-intensity service industry (e.g., call center, hospitality, restaurant, hospital, medical office or retail environment) preferred; previous experience in the dental field highly preferred
- Above average phone etiquette
- Good understanding of computer technology and how to navigate through a web-based computer environment using multiple browser windows at once
- The ability to effectively communicate with our customers and staff
- Possess basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced computer proficiency and superior typing skills
- Passion for helping others
- Denticon user experience is a plus
