The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 650 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, childcare, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.
This position is located in the House Creative Services Department, Customer Experience Center (CEC), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House). The Customer Experience Center communicates, markets, brands, and delivers customer service to the House community. House Creative Services is a one-stop shop for photography, videography, and creative service needs. This position serves as the Videographer.
Key responsibilities include providing videography and consultative services to Member, Committee, and House support offices; establishing and maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders and customers; and assisting with multiple projects, revisions, and timelines as needed.
This position does not have day-to-day supervisory/managerial responsibilities
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides videography services to Member, Committee, and House support offices; applies experience and creative artistic ability in proceeding with or anticipating Members and/or staffs requirements/desires.
Engages with Member office staff to storyboard ideas, present creative solutions, and set realistic expectations.
Assists with multiple projects, revisions, and timelines as needed. Manages incoming calls, answers routine inquiries, tracks, forwards, and/or takes messages as appropriate, and ensures that adequate phone coverage is maintained during official business hours.
Delivers excellent customer service; ensures the availability of support services and provision of accurate and timely information.
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with key stakeholders and customers; establishes credibility in all interactions.
Applies communication techniques to correctly assess and define customers’ needs and expectations. Employs written and verbal communications skills to communicate recommendations for creative strategy.
Participates in routine planning activities related to the work at hand; may assist with the development of timelines or planning documents.
Assists management with teamwork, creative thinking, and support; assists in training new employees as required.
Performs other official duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Videography or related field
3+ years of experience as a professional videographer
