Job Title: Video Specialist

Reports To: Manager of Marketing and Creative Services
Classification: Full-time, Exempt

Summary: In relation to contributing to SJVC’s mission and goals, under the direct supervision of the Manager of Marketing and Creative Services, the Video Specialist’s will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing photos and videos for internal and external purposes. As video has become the best way for communicating company's messages on online platforms, this position will play an important role in our company's success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Capture studio-quality video and photographs
• Produce and edit content and build a library of amazing product and services videos, hiring videos and any other types of videos company may need
• Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing
• Regularly collaborate with marketing team and follow company's brand guidelines
• Find creative solutions to enhance and increase community engagement with the SJVC/Carrington brands
• Collaborate with marketing team to effectively represent the College on its web properties and social media platforms
• Travel to all SJVC/Carrington campuses as necessary to film interviews and demonstrations
• Manage Enplug – Digital Software platform for campus use

Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required degree(s) must be from institutions accredited by recognized U.S. accrediting agencies. Degrees from non-U.S. institutions are recognized only if equivalence has been established and provided.

• 3+ years of experience as video specialist of similar role, with emphasis in social media adaptation
• Experience in using video and editing equipment

• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects
• Knowledge and good understanding of motion graphics is preferred

Travel – Must be able and willing to travel to campus and training locations as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
