The purpose of the On Premise Distribution department is to own and lead: the distribution and route-to-market strategy for the On Premise, negotiations and corporate management of National & Super Regional Broadline Partners, the national foodservice broker and the development of sales processes for distribution management and execution.The purpose of the Vice President On Premise Distribution is to oversee the On Premise distribution department, develop and bring to life a distribution strategy and support processes that leads On Premise sales efforts across Red Bull's DSD and Foodservice Distribution network. You will support and establish processes for achieving national distribution plans, overseeing Broadline Distribution expansion and the introduction of additional 3rd party support networks (i.e. Brokers).
OWN & LEAD ON PREMISE DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY

Lead annual and multi-year distribution business planning process

Promote automation of essential processes where applicable to reduce administrative burden and ensure maximum focus on execution

Establish and activate Distribution plans into routines and processes for immediate evaluation of targets/plans

Develop on premise route to market strategy and future expansion of route to market to expand reach

Apply market data, insights and analyses to create strategic distribution plans that increase distribution and profit

Guide the integration and adoption of goals and measures of success of our distribution strategy through field teams down to the distribution sales team

Work with operations and logistics to ensure delivery of on premise distribution strategy

Deliver national plans to support long term strategy that are viable and aligned with global HQ Team and priorities
LEAD ANNUAL BUSINESS PLANNING FOR ON PREMISE DISTRIBUTION

Oversee the development of the on premise distribution annual business plan including national programs, distributor goals, sales tools and all relevant supporting material

Drive collaboration and agreement on global HQ and internal stakeholders for annual BP plans and programs

Champion cross collaborative projects with Off Premise Distribution to maximize resources and achieve distribution growth and profit

Partner with Finance to improve on premise distribution investment opportunities to increase channel profitability

Oversee the build-out of all supporting Distribution BP planning files for Distribution Network and Business Units
SALES TOOLS, TRAINING CONTENT & BUSINESS SOLUTIONS

Support HQ Distribution team to work with OnP Trade Marketing and Training & Development Managers to evaluate and improve distribution sales tools and trainings for RBNA and Distribution Partners

Determine and monitor distribution goals. Work with On Premise Distribution Analyst to understand and provide analyses of sales channel gaps & growth opportunities

Oversee the build-out of all route to market assessment tools and ensure implementation within the field

Mentor/train Red Bull field teams on distribution management, on premise strategies and performance

Ensure training of field teams on all data and insights, empowering them to manage their business
DRIVE BROADLINE NETWORK GROWTH AND DEVELOP 3RD PARTY PARTNERSHIPS TO SUPPORT

Oversee 5 year Broadline P&L

Oversee the development of broadline expansion strategy

Guide development of annual broadline distributor plans through the regions

Align Red Bull goals with broadline distributor personnel

Support negotiations for new distribution contracts with all broadline partners

Provide guidance to HQ broadline team for our broker partner direction, strategy, important KPIs, and tracking

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertisethat matter most for this role:
  • 10+ years of distribution management for a FMCG company
  • Experience in both DSD and Foodservice/Broadline distribution
  • Experience developing, implementing, and driving national distribution strategy
  • Experience in National/regional accounts in On Premise channel
  • Both supplier and distributor experience
  • In-depth knowledge of sales within FMCG or spirits industry
  • Fluent in different data tools (e.g., Nielsen, PRISM, and Excel)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • English; additional language skills a plus
  • Travel up to 50%
