Required hours/schedule: Flexible/ Monday-Friday 7a-7p/ Rotating Weekends

We are currently looking for a Vice President of Consumer Direct Sales to join our* Sales* team.

Job Summary
The Vice President of Consumer Direct Sales will be responsible for the recruitment, development, and management of a team of mortgage loan consultants. The Vice President of Consumer Direct Sales will develop and execute on NASB’s commitment to ensure that quality, efficiency, and customer service standards are met. Providing leadership to the Loan Consultants includes but is not limited to, serving as a subject matter expert on a variety of sales tasks and tools, aligning sales practices with production resources, and providing insight and troubleshooting on a file-by-file basis. The Vice President of Consumer Direct Sales will be responsible for leading performance, coaching, and development to their mortgage team and serve as a liaison for both internal and external customers. This position is also responsible for evaluating trends in the industry, ensuring that the product offer is complete and consistent with the laws and regulations guiding our business. The Vice President of Consumer Direct Sales will exhibit a high motivation for success, problem solving abilities, sound judgment, independent decision making, and ability to follow all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Bank and its Investors in a high paced environment.

What you can expect to work on:

  • Lead and foster an environment of coaching, development, and execution of results to a team of loan consultants by identifying performance gaps and ensuring their success in adherence and of KPI’s and SLA’s.
  • Executing pipeline management with Loan Consultants to reduce cycle times and improve the customer experience through meeting SLA’s.
  • Maintain knowledge on all company guidelines and policies to ensure regulatory compliance is upheld within sales team.
  • Maintain and expand a collaborative and professional working partnership with internal customers to ensure customer service requests are met.
  • Provides support and partnership with Loan Consultants to ensure all escalated customer issues are addressed timely to exceed consumer expectations. Uses established knowledge and experience to mitigate risks without sacrificing quality
  • Will be responsible for loans from any or all points from application through closing. This includes contact with both internal and external customers to ensure standard file performance is met. Will provide coverage in loan consultant absence to ensure loan continues to meet SLA for both external and internal customers.
  • Works with Loan Consultants through answering questions and structuring loans based on guidelines for Conventional/VA/FHA/USDA/Shelf.
  • Building an environment of talent succession by developing and coaching loan consultant team for future career growth.
  • Developing an internal/external talent network to attract and maintain the best-in-class mortgage team.
  • Perform monthly file quality audits within loan consultant team to ensure procedures and regulatory requirements are being met
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to the SVP of Sales and assist in the implementation of approved process improvements.
  • Completes required periodic training for regulatory compliance in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Maintain a work schedule and required working hours consistent with departmental policy, which will include some evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Other tasks deemed necessary by the SVP of Sales

What you offer us

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of mortgage lending experience and 3+ years of functional working knowledge of Residential Lending sales and operations experience with advanced knowledge of VA, FHA, and CONV guidelines.
  • Currently registered with the NMLS registry.
  • Ability to understand and lead through complex transactions, multiple property types, markets, and varying loan structures and their impact on security of collateral.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and agile to quickly learn new and changing technology advancements and processes.
  • Effective business communication skills (both oral and written) to all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent time management, detail oriented and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills; ability to collaborate, manage and expand relationships both external and internal customers
  • Ability to effectively lead and drive a high level of production while delivering a consistently exceptional customer experience through KPI and SLA expectations
  • Ability to develop and present information in varied mediums.
  • Promote an environment across business functions to help provide resolution within teams. Developing a culture of sharing best practices and key finding across all production team(s).
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
