Position Summary:

Business leader for Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services Inc. business development initiatives. Create and lead team driving CV growth with organic and incremental opportunities. Partner with the account, product and finance organizations to create compelling proposals and secure new business with CV products and solutions on existing and new OEM base and identified expansion areas. Create and manage a sales operation team and pipeline adequate to support the organization’s growth goals. Create, contribute and provide oversight to customer facing proposal and solutions content and strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to drive growth via Connected Vehicle Pre Sales, Business Development, Sales, Product, CSE (Customer Success Executive) and Account teams
  • Ability to manage multiple critical strategic initiatives
  • Define, implement and manage sales metrics, incentive/comp plans, and pipeline as well as sales operations
  • Directly engage with senior client contacts and in coordination with account teams to create value and compel wins
  • Build and develop the nascent CV business development organization
  • Will have significant revenue and margin targets

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage new business development team estimated to be 5-10 people over time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in IT, CS, other technical field or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • MS/MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in technical or business development or customer facing operations in a growth organization with proven aptitude to win and grow business
  • Proven ability to manage and win multi-year opportunities up to $200M in value
  • Demonstrated ability to create and transform teams into high performing units
  • OEM and Auto industry experience directly, or as a provider, preferred but not required
  • Experience in a customer facing role with senior leadership and technical content

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Excellent matrix management and collaboration skills
  • Client facing skills spanning CXO and all management levels to discuss, convey or present proposal content
  • Polished content creation ensuring team delivers professional material for proposals, presentations and RFX responses, contributing in creation as needed
  • Ability to partner with finance in building, negotiating and refining multiyear large scale pricing models
  • Ability to lead contract negotiations as the SiriusXM business owner in partnership with legal, account and contributing teams
  • Ability to create change and transform approaches yielding business results
  • Strong technical foundation, able to define and create complex technology solutions in partnership with contributing product teams
  • OEM business knowledge or proven ability to rapidly apply related technology
  • Strong leader in a matrix environment able to effect change with results orientation
  • Ability to identify and win revenue growth opportunities
  • Ability to travel as needed excluding COVID restricted times
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
