We are seeking a technician to help us test instruments & spacecraft. As a member of our team, you will help us qualify one-of-a-kind instruments for space missions, like New Horizons, Van Allen Probes, and dozens more.
As a Vibration Technician.
You'll go above and beyond our required qualifications if you.- Have an Associate Degree in engineering or knowledge of engineering theory as it relates to vibration, shock and mechanical testing and applications.- Strong skills with test requirements, standards and specifications.- Have 2+ years of laboratory experience conducting vibration, shock, and mechanical testing.- Have 5+ years of experience in test laboratory conducting vibration and/or thermal/vacuum testing.- Knowledge and hands-on experience with the operation and maintenance of computerized control and data systems, as well as Ling and Unholtz -Dickie vibration exciters and amplifiers.

As a Vibration Technician.
- Your primary responsibility is to setup, oversee, and conduct mechanical and dynamic environmental testing efforts.
- You will work with equipment such as electro-dynamic shakers, power amplifiers, instrumentation and signal conditioning.
- You will revise & update facility Standard Operating Procedures.
- You will support the Space Simulation Laboratory (SSL) operations on an as-needed basis which may include round-the-clock shift coverage
