Veterinary Technician/Assistant – In House Laboratory
We currently have an exciting opportunity in our on-site laboratory for a Laboratory Technician/Assistant to fill a position in our fast-paced, cutting edge practice. The candidate must work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high regard for attention to detail. The main job duties include performing diagnostic tests with specialized equipment including microscopy, inputting manual test results as a medical record, managing lab samples and results for outside laboratory testing, and reviewing test results to determine accuracy.The Laboratory department manages the non-imaging diagnostic needs of the hospital.We offer an excellent benefits package and a competitive salary (dependent upon experience and education); this position is non-exempt. Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent). Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensing in Veterinary Technology a plus. Applicant must be reliable, able to work in a team environment, and independently, adaptable to quickly changing situations, and a self-starter. A loving disposition with animals is a must. Previous veterinary assistant/technician experience is also required.
Schedule: Thursday – Sunday day time, some holidays
