The Veterinary Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care. These tasks include: animal handling, pre/post-operative patient care, coordinating estimates, entering information into a client data base (including charges), preparing medication and other duties as assigned. Our Vet Techs have a strong sense of urgency, to navigate an Emergency Room environment and are proactive multitaskers. Managing stressful situations, while maintaining a positive work environment is one of the main elements of this position.
. Requirements:
Must be a high school graduate (or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year experience, working as a Veterinary Technician and/or possess certification from an accredited Veterinary Technician program (2 years). Proficiency with phone systems and computers (especially Microsoft Office suite) is preferred. This position requires the ability to: type, navigate internal databases and various veterinary software. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and have excellent verbal and written skills. Candidates must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs. (from floor level and above.
