Veterinary Technician

Experienced Veterinary Technician wanted (prefer licensed, but practical experience considered). Candidate should have good technical skills, great communication skills with staff and clients, and a strong work ethic. Needs to be very reliable, without profuse absences. Should possess ability to work independently and multi-task well. We are looking for a friendly candidate who wants to work well with our team members, is mature, has a positive mentality, and is professional. We have a small team, many that have been with the practice for 42, 23, 16, and 12 years; we are like a family in some respects. Skills to include, but not limited to:

• Taking client histories and providing patient education
• Animal restraint and handling
• Care of hospitalized patients
• Venipuncture/IV catheter placement
• Assisting with surgical procedures: anesthesia administration/monitoring
• Running hospital equipment including blood machine, centrifuge, dental equipment, & patient monitors
• Pharmacology; laboratory procedures and diagnostics;
• Digital radiography
• Inventory management; cleaning/restocking, and other assigned duties.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Job Type:

Mondays to Fridays; Some evening shifts; No emergency duty; No weekend shifts.

Full-Time (40 hours/week) with full benefit package
