Job Description

Want To Practice At A Hospital You Can Be Proud Of?

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed things for everyone. At Irving Pet Hospital, we are no exception—except that rather than pull back from our community, our clients, and our team, we embraced them. We expanded our hours, offered attentive curbside care, and enhanced communication with our patients’ families. When members of our staff felt uncomfortable coming to work due to the virus, we accommodated them and pulled together to maintain revenue so no one needed to be furloughed.

Irving Pet Hospital is a well-established America Animal Hospital Association accredited veterinary hospital in the Inner Sunset. We have had the pleasure of serving the community since 1964. If you enjoy working well with others and caring for our clients' four legged family members all while having fun, then Irving Pet Hospital is the place for you!!

This position is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to grow within the veterinary field. We offer on-the-job training and continuing education. Full-time employees receive health benefits, vacation days, sick pay, CE, and 401k. In addition, we offer an extremely generous staff pet medical care discount.

We are currently open Monday-Saturday. We also offer an alternative work week with a 4/10 schedule.

We strive to create a culture of respect and support. When applying to the position you should be able to:

  • Ask for help, offer help, and accept help
  • Demonstrate compassion and caring for our clients, patients, and your fellow staff members. We treat all our patients as if they were our own.
  • As a member of our front desk staff you represent Irving Pet Hospital-- you are the first and last point of contact for our clients at every visit. Be the best veterinary professional you can be.
  • We empower our team members and want everyone to understand the important role that they play at the hospital, and together that is how we create a team to problem solve and continue to grow and learn as a team.

**Experience is preferred, but we will train the right person. Wage commensurate with experience.**
