UrgentVet Pet Clinic is seeking a rock star Clinic Manager for our brand-new practice in Ocoee, FL (West Orlando), which is slated to open in May 2021. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing quality veterinary care and is interested in advancing their career by gaining skills in veterinary business operations and people management. About UrgentVet:UrgentVet Pet Clinic bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care, offering after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our 2-doctor practices offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia, and each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
About the Position:The Clinic Manager plays a central role on the hospital team by managing day-to-day operations, so the doctors & staff can devote their time to delivering efficient after-hours acute care. **Please note that this is a working manager position, so qualified applicants must have at least two years of experience in the veterinary field and must feel comfortable working the floor alongside the veterinarians. Position Details:
- Full-time position
- Reports to the Regional Director of Operations
- Typically scheduled 40-45 hours/week and, because of the nature of the veterinary profession, longer hours are likely from time to time
- Work schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays (NO OVERNIGHTS)
- Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology or related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training & experience that provides the required knowledge, skills & abilities
- A positive, can-do attitude; strong people skills/emotional intelligence; willingness to roll up your sleeves and chip in to help the team
