Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Busy animal hospital is seeking a professional, organized, individual, to work in the veterinary field as a Technician Assistant. Hours are, Monday through Friday (hours vary) and every other Saturday 8 am to 4 pm. Skills include being able and comfortable in handling and restraining dogs and cats, greeting clients and escorting them and their pets into exam room, strong computer skills, assisting Doctors with patients, documenting vital signs, giving medications, cleaning, laundry, and trash collection. Vet Tech students enrolled in classes this Fall are greatly encouraged to apply! Our practice is willing to work around your class schedule! Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle large breed dogs up to 150 pounds. Regular attendance and timeliness a must!

COVID-19 considerations:
During COVID our hospital is closed to clients. We have Customer Service Liaisons greet our clients in the parking lot. A Technician/Assistant will then go outside to bring the owner's pet in. they will then nee get a full history . We supply PPE .

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Veterinary Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred)
