Chico Pet Vet is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant/receptionist to join our team.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about animal welfare, compassionate, outgoing, knows how to multi-task, not scared of a busy work environment, enjoys challenges, and learning new things.
MUST be dependable, a team player, effective communicator and have reliable transportation.

In this position, you will be supporting our Doctor and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

- Maintaining medical records
- Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
- Filling prescriptions.
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.

Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. You may be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases.
