Job Description

Hilltop Animal Hospital is seeking 3 experienced, reliable and compassionate individuals. We strive for a positive environment in which we enjoy our work. We are looking for (1) Receptionist, (1) Veterinary Technician/RVT and (1) Veterinary Assistant to join to our team. Candidates must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, maintain a positive and professional attitude in a sometimes stressful environment. Must have a minimum of 1 year hands on experience in the veterinary field. Must have a strong work ethic and good communication skills with team members and clients.

* 1 YEAR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A VETERINARY HOSPITAL IS MANDATORY

TECHNICIAN/RVT: Applicant must be efficient and knowledgeable in-

-Outpatient appointments-vaccination protocols and preventative care

-Client education

-Advanced diagnostics

-Complex surgical procedures- orthopedic, soft tissue and laparoscopic surgical techniques

-Anesthesia- induction, intubation and monitoring

-Dental prophylaxis and full mouth radiographs

Technician skills required, but are not limited to:

  • Follow opening/closing procedures for hospital
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work place
  • Care of hospitalized / ICU patients
  • Daily call backs to clients
  • Restrain patients
  • IV Catheter Placement
  • Emergency and Triage
  • Take digital radiographs
  • Give SQ, IV & IM injections
  • Obtain and read cytology samples: ear cytology / skin cytology / skin scraping / urinalysis

RECEPTIONIST/VETERINARY ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS:

* Experience with Avimark veterinary software is a plus.

Must have flexible hours and Saturday availability. Pay based on experience.
