SUMMARY
This is a casual non-exempt position that is primarily responsible for the sole transportation of WCSI clients to designated points within the community. Primary work hours will vary, but occur between Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch (up to 30 hours/week) unless otherwise agreed upon. May be asked to work weekends to transport to special events. Time will be flexible to meet client needs.

This position requires the employee to perform their daily job duties and responsibilities in an unstructured work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management.

Attends specially designed training programs provided through WCSI including:
- Mental Health First Aid
- CPR
- CPI
- Hearing Voices
- Confidentiality
- Privacy
- Others as assigned
- Collects data as assigned
- Coordinates daily transportation of clients to assigned points in the community as assigned.
- Assists clients as needed into and out of the van to residence and/or destination. May carry groceries or laundry for client when they are unable to do so.
- Operates vehicle safely adhering to all motor vehicle regulations.
- Performs a safety walk-around inspection prior to use of the van on a daily basis.
- Maintains car and rider logs and forms as assigned.
- Will assist with maintenance for vehicle, including cleaning, oil changes, tires, etc.
- Interacts with all clients in an appropriate and respectful manner.
- Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills.
- Documents all incidents or accidents as required by WCSI policy.
- Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skill set.
- Communicate to Supervisor any unusual client issues or needs which may be identified while in contact with clients.
Other Duties:
In the event of down time from transportation duties the employee may be assigned other related duties by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D). Must be at least 21 years of age.
Language Skills:
Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to write reports and maintain logs as assigned. Working knowledge of computer operation, GPS and cellphones.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid PA Driver’s License, Proof of Valid Auto Insurance, Act 34 (Criminal Record), and Act 33 (Child Abuse) and FBI Clearance. There will be monthly screenings of PA Medicheck List, LEIE (List of Excluded Individuals/Entities) and SAM (System for Award Management). A 10-year driving record check will be completed upon hire.
Other:
Due to the unique duties and responsibilities of this position, as related to transportation of clients, this position will require a Driver’s Record check, upon conditional employment offer. Drug testing will also be required, upon conditional employment offer, and will be randomly checked during employment, as determined by management.
Must not consume any alcoholic beverages within 8 hours prior to operating van.
ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL and MENTAL CONDITIONS
Physical Demands/Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate a motor vehicle, sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of up to 50 pounds. The employee regularly is driving a vehicle, utilizing a cell phone, GPS, computer, fax, copier and other essential office equipment to carry out daily work. Must be able to perform CPR/First Aid if needed. Substantial problem solving is needed to respond to urgent or emergency situations.
Work Environments:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be driving a motor vehicle and exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
