Our Design Team is looking for a User Experience Writer to shape product experiences. Product copy is an integral part of the Spokeo customer experience, and you will work alongside product designers, product managers, brand marketers, and engineers to build cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and devices. By applying the tone and voice of our brand, your content will make Spokeo products simple and intuitive to millions of people.
Responsibilities:
Write and edit text that enables users to easily navigate our products and accomplish their intended goals. Examples include user navigation, error messages, onboarding flows, feature naming, tooltips, email, and other components that facilitate the end-to-end user experience.
Create cohesive and consistent product narratives. Document your strategies with guidelines, ensuring a consistent tone and voice.
Collaborate with cross-functionally members of the design, product, marketing, engineering, and legal teams to craft compelling messaging across multiple platforms.
Ability to create questions and storylines for different user testing scenarios, take a data-driven approach to usability studies, and optimize copy to enhance product growth.
Comfortable providing and receiving feedback in an iterative design environment.
Strong organizational ability and exceptional attention to detail.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience with user-focused product writing, UX copywriting, and/or content design.
Provide a diverse online portfolio that illustrates your range of skills, including UX-focused writing samples, organizational ability, and tone of voice.
Demonstrate familiarity with wireframes, information architecture, functional specifications, content management, and common design tools like Sketch and Figma.
Show work that captures a brands’ voice with simplicity, expressiveness, and creativity.
Visual design experiences preferred.
