The UX Strategist is part of a diverse and multi-faceted team focused on enhancing the customer experience on TI.com. The role involves collaborating with multiple groups to gather inputs and learn about how engineers work in order to gain actionable insights that translate into improved website functionality. We have a unified vision to make it easier for engineers to find and design with TI products. Our goal is to remove friction and provide a seamless end-to-end customer experience all across TI.com.

About the Job
The UX Strategist is part of a diverse and multi-faceted team focused on enhancing the customer experience on TI.com. The role involves collaborating with multiple groups to gather inputs and learn about how engineers work in order to gain actionable insights that translate into improved website functionality. We have a unified vision to make it easier for engineers to find and design with TI products. Our goal is to remove friction and provide a seamless end-to-end customer experience all across TI.com.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and facilitate workshops to map customer journeys then translate findings into actions
- Lead and influence others, including delegating tasks and collaborating with team members in a variety of roles such as UX/UI and front-end development
- Gain insight into customer behavior by conducting research such as usability tests, user feedback and data analysis resulting in clear actions while communicating findings out to the organization
- Encourage design thinking, experimentation and build prototypes to inform the overall customer experience and site architecture on TI.com
- Learn business acumen quickly and understand how to translate important considerations into functional designs and recommendations
- Partner with product owners, subject matter experts, architects, analysts, designers, and developers to influence product feature decisions and execute the customer experience vision across projects
- Manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Persuade leaders and decision makers to align on research findings and proposed improvements
- Be great at storytelling, giving presentations, and selling ideas
- Mentor others, provide constructive feedback, and lead by example
- Encourage input from the team, ask lots of questions, and push boundaries
- Develop and champion best practices in UX in conjunction with the rest of the team
- Document processes and guidelines for reuse and efficiency
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years’ experience as a UX strategist, UX architect, information architect, interaction designer, UX/UI designer (or similar role), with a bachelors’ degree in a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working on customer-facing websites with actionable design direction which includes personas, prototypes, user testing, strategic planning.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with all aspects of user research, UI design, interaction design and usability for the web
- A strong portfolio demonstrating past work and experience in UX strategy
- Experience with relevant software such as Google Analytics, surveys, Decibel Insights (or similar), PowerPoint, Excel, UXPin, Axure, Adobe XD (or other prototyping software)
- Strong facilitation skills to gather requirements and conduct design explorations
- Clear communication, proactive mind-set, with superior presentation skills
- Experience working in a leadership role coordinating tasks, resources and projects
- Experience setting up and conducting user research such as interviews, surveys, user-testing and A/B testing
- Experience working in Agile/scrum environment using Jira and Confluence for project tracking
- Must have problem-solving skills, relationship building, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate design solutions at an executive level to articulate and inform the business value and benefits of user experience
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate and gain consensus with cross functional partners
- Detail-oriented and can prioritize time between multiple projects and competing schedules
- Experience in leading design projects from beginning to end
