Job Description:
We are seeking a User Experience Designer to join the Bernstein Digital Client Experience Group’s UX Team in Nashville, TN.
About Us:
We’re a small UX team immersed in the world of investing for individuals and families, as well as investment support technology, with vast resources at our fingertips to learn even more about the broader world of global finance. We’re led by a Service Designer/UX hybrid and our commitment is to ensure user-centered thinking is a driving force behind our company’s technology decisions.
About You:
You are a passionate, self-driven user experience designer with 4-5 years of full-time experience (or equivalent) creating thoughtful digital user experiences across app and web platforms for various mobile and desktop devices. You are someone who knows the ropes of executing on real-world projects, and you have worked very hands-on with development teams in your process. You have also collaborated heavily with stakeholders in product management and/or business strategy, and are comfortable communicating your work to any audience, as well as skilled at aligning teammates and stakeholders around your ideas.
You have at least some experience in all parts of the UX cycle from user research, through wireframing and prototyping, to high-fidelity UI design - with deepest expertise in information architecture and interaction design. You will also be able to show that you have had leadership responsibility in the past, whether it was leading UX process/strategy on a feature level or on a larger scale. Candidates with UX evangelism experience will stand out.
We are looking for someone naturally collaborative, curious, motivated, communicative, responsible, and conscientious, who is interested in creating high-quality UX deliverables as well as owning feature-level UX strategy. Plus, you’ll be generous and supportive with teammates and colleagues, especially if they are less familiar with your UX process.
As much as you are self-motivated and driven to push projects forward, you are also comfortable prioritizing and planning your workstreams in an environment that moves quickly, as well as standing up for the integrity of the UX process and being the primary advocate for our various end-users.
