Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and warmly greet our guests and assist them with finding their seat as well as with any question or need they may have during their visit.
- Responsible for monitoring crowd behavior, and taking steps to ensure that each guest may enjoy the event without disruption from others.
- Be the first responder to all issues in the seating area, summoning for assistance when necessary.
- Keep seating area safe and organized ensuring all guests are in the proper seat and area is free from messes and hazards.
- Scan tickets as guests enter the arena, and ensure that no guest is granted admittance without a valid ticket.
- Guard doors and stairways ensuring guests stay in the proper areas.
- Engage guests at every opportunity, taking the time to recognize regulars by name when appropriate.
- Be available to work at least 50% of all ticketed events.
- Learning the seating, layout, and policies and procedures of each of our venues.
- Be able to critically think and problem solve.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma and one to two years of customer service related experience is required.
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Working Conditions:
- Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to climb stairs and stand for long periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Frequent visual/auditory attention.
